Bram did his PhD on T cells in atherosclerosis at the Amsterdam UMC, where his focus was lipid metabolism in T cells. Here he developed an interest in bioinformatics and data analysis. He continued his research at the LUMC in the department of Gastroenterology on the role of fibroblasts in the pathogenesis of Crohn’s disease with a special focus on the analysis of spatial data.
